Light at the End of the Tunnel: Winter Solstice

Happy Winter Solstice!

Today officially begins the winter season. Winter solstice is significant because it is the longest night of the year and the shortest day. From now until June, the days will steadily grow longer; more light in your life.

There are 3 things you can do to maximize this moment in preparation for a new year.

1. Be reflective today first giving gratitude for EVERYTHING both good and bad because it shapes our development .Instead of complaining, give thanks. You have no idea what a challenging situation or conflict with someone is preparing you for. I know in my own personal experience, I'm grateful for communication musunderstandings in my close relationships. It has helped me be more patient and a more intentional listener which has accentuated the encounters with my clients.
Though it was challenging when I was experiencing it, it has produced in me something I never thought possible, MORE PATIENCE.  WHEW!!

2. Reflect on the dark things in your life that cause fear of failure, fear of trying, stress and anxiety. RELEASE those things that are holding you back from the beautiful and abundant life you envision. Bury those things into the darkness. A stress releasing technique that can help with this is intentional breathing exercise. Inhale deeply the good, positive and joyful things in life - exhale the tension, anxiety fear and angst.

3. Ready for your next and best? Once you have released, you make room for your dreams, vision, purpose, joy, peace and calm to be REBORN. Remember that next great invention you put on the back burner? REBIRTH it! Or the business plan you started writing and never finished? REBIRTH it! Or maybe even that letter of forgiveness you started and tore up numerous times, REBIRTH it!
Remember, out of the darkness comes light and newness.

Enjoy this day and remember, there really is light at the end of the tunnel!

Yours in Health,
